Heard Ranch Hunting

Located in the South Zone Special White-winged Dove Area in Zavala County, 17 miles south of Uvalde, Heard Ranch is farmed exclusively for dove hunting.  Has two ponds and is 1/2 mile from the Nueces River.  

Sesame at Heard Ranch

At the Heard Ranch, we have four fields totaling 150 acres  planted with croton, hegari, sunflower, millet and sesame.  Fifty acres of trees and brush are scattered throughout the field borders.  We have two shallow tanks and are located 1/2 mile from the Nueces River 17 miles south of Uvalde. 

Special Season: September 1,2 8,9 Special White-winged Dove Area;  noon to sunset.

Regular Season: September 21- November 11 and December 26 - January 12.  sunrise to sunset.

Shredding will be done at appropriate times.
